Happy B-day

It was a pretty dang cool birthday this year. This was pretty much my favorite gift. My parents got me an easel to practice on. As you can see I am making good use of the supplied paper. But if you look closer you will notice that the easel is not just a tool, but an interesting substrate as well.

Some people color outside of the lines. I don't even stay on the paper.

Motor-Stroke on Post-it

This was an experiment in composition. I was certain to leave ample negative space to emphasize the importance of my fathers color choice for a web project.

Notice the strong symmetry in the upward movement of the piece. It give a feeling of power and movement to the composition as a whole.

Monotone no more

Just a little bit of flavor for my favorite place to jump. It's mine now. I've tagged it.

Pen in hand on arm

I was bothered by the fact that my forearm didn't match my outfit. So I went straight to work on an epidermal color study.

A Mural for Grandma

I don't often commission work for others, but Grandma is family. So I decided to thank her for changing my diaper

Branding Exercise

This is my first attempt at branding. I chose to use an iconic logo to illustrate the contents of this box. I'm pretty sure it's full of red fruit trees.

Diaper Descending a Staircase

They say all art is a self portrait. This is my first official attempt. notice the strong motion and energy in the composition. You will also notice I have chosen to include a marker in my hand.

Coat Closet

I couldn't pass up this beautiful blank slab of white. I've actually gone back to this piece time and time again. I'm still not completely satisfied with it.

Macintosh

This is my first attempt at digital art. It's not often that someone at my age gets to work on such an expensive device.
